Ann Curry
Ann Curry is an American journalist and photojournalist who has worked as a journalist for over 45 years focused on human suffering in war zones and natural disasters. Curry has reported on wars around the globe, and has reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19 1956 Agana American journalist and TV anchor and news reporter who is most famous for her work as a correspondent on the Today show a morning news show that was telecast through the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry is known for her coverage of humanitarian crises and natural disasters particularly in nations affected by war. Curry was the child of an U.S. Navy sailor and an Japanese woman. After World War II, her parents met while her father was serving in Japan. Due to her father's service in the military and the frequent moves they made. They eventually arrived in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. She graduated in 1978 at her school at the University of Oregon with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She was exposed to different cultures and environments during her growing up years probably contributed to her empathy that she has for global issues. Then, four years later she moved in Los Angeles and became a reporter for KCBS TV. In the course of her work with this channel for the duration of six years that she won two Emmy Awards.
